Hod's Message

I welcome you to the Department of Information Technology (IT) at Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology & Science. The department was started in the year 2007 and offers a four-year under-graduate programme in the field of Information Technology.

The Department is committed to impart students with excellence in quality education that meets the demand of IT industry. The objective is to develop logical thinking through problem solving among the students thereby making students industrial ready. Faculty of IT department are highly qualified with rich experience in teaching, research and industry, dedicated towards compendious development of students by motivating and mentoring them towards career and research.

The department provides state-of-the-art laboratories where students practice laboratory curriculum course programs and as well improve problem solving through coding platforms like HackerRank, CodeChef and GeeksforGeeks which has shown improvement in placements in various top MNC’S like Amazon, TCS, Infosys etc,. for esteemed packages. The department has made a significant progress with exemplary results both in academics and placements. I wish all the students associated with the department a brilliant and bright future.
